Artist Bio

Seth Anderson is a Pittsburgh-born artist deeply inspired by video games, comic books, manga, mythology, and science fiction. Some of Seth’s first influences were the cartoons he grew up watching. He was captivated by the story worlds that were created, where superheroes, mutants, and cyborgs fought for a better tomorrow. It was all fiction, but there was something immersive about it, something about a world that wasn’t real that felt captivating. This was the first “art” Seth was introduced to.

The part that captivated him was the ability for art to tell a story and to illustrate that for the viewers. It wasn’t long after cartoons that he got into comic books and manga. Both media had the same immersive worlds as cartoons, but it was in a similar book form as the mythical Greek and Roman epochs. In fact, the format was practically identical: stories of heroes and heroines, usually superpowers are involved, and it all carries a deeper meaning below the surface. Now, as a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Seth has continued to expand upon his inspirations, creating paintings, digital illustrations, and even his own comic books.
